We found this gem on our stay in Newport Beach. It was so good we went two days in a row. The food/drinks and service were all phenomenal. We ordered the strawberry waffle, it had gelato on it. *chef’s kiss* pureeeeee perfection both times! I’m still dreaming about it 5 days later.

This was our first time coming here based on a friend's recommendation and we had a great time. The establishment is very busy yet the service, food, and atmosphere was great. Our group got a wide variety of items from burgers, burritos, and omelettes and nobody was disappointed. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

I really enjoyed my Mother's Day Brunch! I was surprised by the free Mimosa that they served as well. It was busy, and the service was quick, but not rushed! Will definitely go back!

I'm not a lover of country style gravy, but Cappy's has changed my mind. Their chicken fried steak is D-Licious and the gravy takes it over the top! And, I adore corned beef hash. In fact, I'll always order it if I see it on a menu. So far, Cappy's is one of the best I've sampled. Their side order of corned beef hash is an entire meal. If you like corned beef hash from a can (what I affectionately refer to as dog food hash) then you might not find this to your liking. However, if you enjoy homemade hash, like myself, you will be a fan of Cappy's. All of their breakfast items look tasty. Service was lacking on my first visit, but the food was worth the wait, and the manager was apologetic and accommodating after the fact. This restaurant is extremely busy on the weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. The location is ideal, even if it's drizzling outside.

This is usually my spot at least once a month. I meet my sister and her family there to catch up. Life's been busy lately so it's nice to go have a sit-down breakfast but today was kind of a surprise. The waitress on the open patio was very abrupt rude snatched the menu out of my brother-in-law's hand and set a very poor example in front of my young niece who observes everything and should be shown the right way to do things. I don't think I'll ever be coming back. It's sad that these type of establishments think it's okay to treat people the way they do. I know they also have ownership and plums but I've never seen this kind of service at that restaurant. Hopefully it never goes there. Just being honest didn't want to be too critical. I'm sure we all have rough days and maybe it's a training experience. But yeah another restaurant that's probably not going to last. Also, I found the way the first manager came out and said to us that she would have to check the camera to see if we were correct. Really threw me for a loop. Hospitality always helps people and doesn't try to put people down or suggest that they may be wrong. Just another training situation.

Food at Cappys is always on point. Always fresh and cooked to order. I've never been disappointed with the food. Although prices have gone up, it was still very good.
Although the servers were usually a "10"... service was still good but not as good as it used to be. Felt like I was an inconvenience to them this time around. So an "8" is what I would give them now.
I'll still go, and hopefully, I will feel more welcomed like I used to be next time.

A little bit pricey compared to some chain breakfast spots, but portions are extremely generous. The food is all made fresh and well worth the price, as most breakfasts include a side and toast along with a generous entree. My husband was excited that they give you the option of a biscuit with gravy as your toast, while I was glad to be able to choose corn tortillas as my toast in order to avoid gluten. Service was fantastic and the environment is very welcoming and relaxed. Side note - while the menu still shows that bottomless mimosas are an option at certain times, we were informed that they are no longer able to serve bottomless due to insurance. They were able to do a bottle of champagne with sides of juice instead.

We came for breakfast. Vibes are good here. Food was really great. Highly recommend the breakfast potatoes. They were the best we have ever had! And if you are a fan of cottage cheese you HAVE to try it. Lindsey was our server and she was so nice,friendly, and attentive. Great service thank you !
